New chapters in Meghan and Harry biography will lift the lid on latest royal rifts

A new edition of a revelatory royal biography about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be released this summer.

The updated version of Finding Freedom will further dig into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s lives after a drama filled year for the couple.

New chapters in the book will cover the Oprah Winfrey interview, allegations against Meghan over the bullying of royal staff, which she denies, and Prince Philip ’s death, the Times reports.

Harry and Meghan’s enormous Netflix and Spotify deals, as well as their new life in America and the Queen’s decision to strip them of their royal patronages, will also be discussed.

The updated book will be released on August 5.

A senior courtier told the paper: “The Oprah interview detonated a bomb under the royal family and most of them are still reeling in shock.

“The book will not help.”

Another senior royal source said: “After Oprah, what else is there to say?”

When Finding Freedom was first released last year it produced more newspaper column inches and inspired more fiery debate than perhaps any other royal book.

While largely flattering about Harry and Meghan, it offered deep insight into their lives from 2016 onwards.

This included how the couple met and how Harry felt like his brother William behaved like “a snob” when he advised him to “take as much time as you need to get to know” Meghan.

Authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie have said they had “unique access” to those closest to the couple, who have denied collaborating with the book.

The latest version is likely to vanquish any notions members of the Firm had of a quiet summer after a hectic year.

Just last week the Queen turned 95, having said goodbye to husband Philip just days before.

Earlier this year Harry and Meghan set the royal gossip world alight when they sat down with Oprah for a bombshell interview.

In it Meghan accused a unnamed member of the family of asking her how dark her then unborn baby would be.
